Thank you A-H school board members Audette, Arco, and Hoekman for trying to shift Social-Emotional Learning lessons back to A-H developed curriculum instead of those by national companies endorsed by CASEL, a controversial and ideologically left leaning organization.
This shift would have saved the district money at a financially stressful time when our board members are trying to keep teachers in their classrooms, and it would have given teachers more flexibility to decide how to best spend their class time.
As with some other issues, the board remains split 3-3. District leadership again did not bring forward proposals that can get full board support and the other 3 board members refuse to compromise even the slightest amount on any concerns parents have brought forward. Elections are this November.
